Wellway Medical and Rehabilitation Center, founded in early 2022, emerged from the vision of dedicated professionals addressing the lack of adequate mental health and rehabilitation facilities in the region. Raphael Wambura, a psychiatrist clinician, led the initiative due to the limited capacity of the single government facility and the refusal of private establishments to accept inpatient mental health patients.
Joining forces with Faith Maina (psychiatrist clinician), Maurice Ojowi (psychiatric nurse), and Kevin Okeyo (psychologist), they established Wellway to fill this critical void. The center’s mission is to integrate mental health services, enhancing quality, accessibility, and affordability. Wellway stands as a beacon of hope, offering comprehensive care and support for those grappling with mental health challenges.
