About Wellway Medical and Rehabilitation Centre

Rehab centres in Kisumu.Wellway Medical and Rehabilitation Center,  founded at the outset of 2022, emerged from a collective vision among a group of dedicated professionals. Raphael Wambura, driven by the prevalent difficulties faced by caregivers in securing adequate mental health and rehabilitation facilities in the region, catalyzed the inception. The scarcity of options was evident, with only one government facility available, yet constrained by limited capacity to accommodate the multitude in need. Adding to the challenge, private health establishments typically declined patients necessitating inpatient care for mental health conditions.

In response to this pressing need, Raphael, a psychiatrist clinician himself, joined forces with Faith Maina, another psychiatrist clinician, alongside Maurice Ojowi, a psychiatric nurse, and Kevin Okeyo, a psychologist. Together, they identified a suitable location and established a facility, christening it Wellway, a name that encapsulates the journey toward wellness, symbolizing the void they sought to fill.

Wellway Medical and Rehabilitation Center’s mission is clear: to integrate mental health services, thereby enhancing their quality and ensuring their accessibility and affordability. This noble endeavor stands as a beacon of hope for individuals grappling with mental health challenges in the region, promising comprehensive care and support on their path to healing and recovery.
